verb provides a RSS feed at http://feeds2.feedburner.com/verbict. verb provides a general license to use this feed, provided that it is not modified in any way (including the stripping of ads) with the exception of image stripping as detailed below:
All commercial uses of feeds (e.g. websites generating revenue through advertisements including AdSense) must strip all images from the feed to ensure copyright compliance with our third-party photographer agreements.
The Site logo and URL must appear prominently at the top of each page displaying site content. Internal links in the Site content must not be removed. The format or branding of the headlines, text and other information provided in the RSS feed must not be modified. ”More From…” links back to original Site at the end of each post must be included on content pages and may not be removed.
The RSS feed may not be spliced into or otherwise redistributed by third-party RSS providers.
No content, including any advertisements or other promotional content, shall be added to the RSS feed.
Images must be removed from open syndication feeds and commercial feeds (please contact verb for more details).
verb reserves the right to object to your presentation of the RSS feed and the right to require you to cease using the RSS feed at any time.
verb further reserves the right to terminate its distribution of the RSS feed or change the content or formatting of the RSS feed at any time without notice to you.
verb provides this content “as is” and verb shall not be held liable for your use of the information or the feed.
Use of verb’s content, including text and images, on your site, or in print, is entirely at your discretion. verb is not responsible for any complaints regarding content or images that you choose to display on your site or in print.

Corresponding with verb
Any correspondence with verb, including any documentation or images, is considered property of verb. verb reserves the right to reproduce such correspondence, in whole or in part, on verbICT.com.
Anyone is free to leave comments on any verb article or post. Although verb staffers don’t actively monitor comments, they will consider removing any comments they find to be offensive, libelous, hateful, etc. Abusive comments can be reported as such. Comment threads may be closed after a period of time to prevent spam. verb will not accept responsibility for information posted in the comments.
If verb receives notice that a comment post is not in keeping with these terms and conditions or the intended use of the comments, we reserve the right to remove that comment posting. The removal of any comment shall be solely at the discretion of verb.
verb typically displays images as part of blog posts written by our editors and writers. The types of images editors are authorized to use on Verb sites include:
- Images licensed from photographic archive vendors
- Images supplied to our editors or released into the public domain by public relations and marketing companies for press purposes
- Reader-submitted images, with the implied representation that the person submitting the image owns the copyright in the image and the right to give it to us for use on our site(s)
- Images published on Flickr or other public photo sites in instances where the photographer has chosen to license their work under the Creative Commons license
- Images commissioned by verb
- Thumbnail images of 150 x 150 pixels or less
- Images used to illustrate a newsworthy story under the Fair Use doctrine
- Images where the use is transformative, such as for satire
- Images so widely distributed on the Internet that they are deemed to have become part of the public domain
If you think we have published an image or text that infringes your copyright, we will address your concerns; however, if the image falls into one of the categories listed above, we believe that our use of the image is legitimate and we will not remove it from the site.

To file a notice of infringement with us, you must provide a written communication (by email with an attached and signed PDF) that sets forth the items specified below. To enable us to address your concerns, please provide the following information:

- Proof of copyright in the image or text concerned, namely proof of registration of the Image under the DMCA,
- OR, absent such registration,a detailed description of where the photograph was taken, by whom, who or what the subject of the image is, AND
- Evidence to support your claim that you own the copyright in the image
We will not comply with requests to remove an image where the complainant cannot prove that they own the copyright in the image in question.
Include the following statement: “I swear, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that I am the copyright owner or am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.”
