The first few months of any new year are an exciting time when you work at a gym. There’s an influx of new faces, fresh blood and resolutions. Most of those resolutions are forgotten around March, when the health clubs start to thin out again. A few of the new faces stick around, but for the most part, come March there are enough treadmills and ellipticals again, and it’s back to business-as-usual for us fitness professionals.

Taking long walks along the river. I’m a total weenie. I hate the cold and I hate having to bundle up to go out. I’m definitely looking forward to a nice, long walk when I need to clear my head and maybe even get rid of that winter pallor. – Aimee Brock

Somewhere between the scrapbooking party with your grandma and the phallus-laden shenanigans of bachelorette parties past, lies the perfect way to say sayonara to singledom. While those both have their time and their place, I prefer to find a middle ground, or at least class up the crass festivities these parties are known for.
