Hello, my name is Stephanie, and I’m a recovering hair product snob.
There, I said it. I’ve been hooked on high-end hair products since I was 17. Before that, my idea of splurging on “good” shampoo was to buy Pantene or Aussie at the supermarket instead of Suave. I’m not kidding; I went from Suave to Aveda on one sunny afternoon in a salon on Douglas, and I never went back.
Well, maybe that’s not entirely true. My income hasn’t always been able to match my appetite, so I’ve been willing to …

It’s time to celebrate with your loved ones, your tried and true friends, your kids… but maybe you stopped being turned on by flowers from the grocery store and Whitman’s chocolates a long time ago. Perhaps you never were into the foil-wrapped chocolate candy roses that teenage girls swoon over. Have you thrown anything at the television during diamond jewelry commercials lately? Does the idea of dialing 1-800-FLOWERS make you nauseated? Well then, hello kindred spirit!
I know I’m talking as if Valentine’s Day is …

I’m just not a morning person. If I had my way, my day would start around a civilized time, say, 10 a.m., instead of the horrible 6 a.m. I’m forced to endure to have little things like a job. Well, life can force me to get up early, but it can’t force me to eat early.
Breakfast has never and will never be my favorite meal of the day (unless I’m having it for dinner). Instead, I’m a big fan of brunch and eateries that cater to brunch-y folk like me. …
