This week didn’t go exactly as I’d expected, including my dining plans. I had a lunch date with a friend scheduled for Sunday at La Galette, located in the Delano District. But right before I arrived, I got a phone call from my friend: “So I’m standing outside La Galette and it’s closed.” This is a rookie mistake. Last week I took you to a few places to dine while I was on a weekend vacation in Kansas City. This week I’m rounding out my vacation mode (or “Kansas Staycations” as I like to call them) by taking you to Lawrence, Kan.
