[wear] Women’s Spring/Summer Fashion – The “I Love Dresses” Edition

So, Matt’s recent manifesto on acceptable spring and summer clothing items for dudes got me thinking: what do I want to find myself clothed in as the weather turns awesome? There are, of course, lots of trends for gals to be excited about this spring and summer. But for me, they pale in comparison to the one item of clothing I can’t seem to get enough of lately – dresses. Here are five reasons why I love them, some that I’m coveting, and places to find ones of your own.
1. Easy …

[drink] Midwest Winefest Walkabout

The fourth Thursday in April is my favorite holiday – it’s like Christmas, Fourth of July and St. Patrick’s Day all rolled into one. No, it’s not my birthday, or some obscure religious celebration. This is the date of the Midwest Winefest Walkabout, or WINEFEST, as my friends and I refer to it.

However, my boyfriend’s friends had recently been peer pressuring him to try the loose meat sandwich joint, and so I finally gave in to his pleas.
We headed to Nu Way last Sunday, and we were pleasantly surprised to see the sign out front …

[eat] Los Cocos

Last week, I wrote a post lamenting the loss of Red Mesa Grill and their excellent white cheese dip. Reader Josh left a particularly eloquent comment on this article, simply stating, “Super strong margaritas + great queso – huge bill = Los Cocos!” Coincidentally, I already had dinner plans at Los Cocos (1335 N. Tyler Rd.) for Sunday, and I was excited to put Josh’s proclamation to the test. The restaurant did not disappoint.
We started our evening at the bar, where I ordered a margarita the size of my head …
