While movie stars are posing for the paparazzi at the 82nd Annual Academy Awards in Hollywood, you can be mingling with Wichita’s local celebrities – Bonnie Bing, Anita Cochran and Wink Hartman, just to name a few.

verb [ICT] is excited to be giving away TWO pairs of tickets to A Night on the Red Carpet, a benefit for Episcopal Social Services at Venture House THIS SUNDAY, March 7th at 6:30 pm at The Grand Chapel (828 N. Broadway).

Enjoy walking the red carpet, live music, hors d’ oeuvres, wine and beer and a live and silent auction. But you won’t have to miss out on the Oscars; the show will be playing upstairs and a concession stand will serve movie treats.

To enter, tell us which film you think deserves to win Best Picture at the Academy Awards. On Friday, March 5th, we’ll choose two lucky winners at 2 pm CST using the Random Number Generator.

Because the event is this weekend, please enter only if you know you will definitely be able to attend.

Update: Congratulations to Kelli & Brent, our lucky winners!

Contest Rules: All entrants must be 18 years of age or older, unless otherwise stated and/or posted. The winner will be chosen at random from comments received. The winner will be notified at the email address used when posting the comment. Only one entry per person. Open to Wichita metro area residents only.

no one’s mentioned it yet, but i really enjoyed “up in the air”. very timely, and extremely well done for a young director.

I think Up deserves it for genuinely fresh and moving storytelling, and with beautiful visuals to boot.
