I agree with Steph…Thai Traditions is amazing! We always order poor man’s beef w/ thai salsa and sticky rice. Also, love the curry, spring rolls, egg rolls and bean thread salad!

I forgot to do this…I am a bad staff member :( Regardless, the best meal I’ve had was at a Mediterranean place that’s out of business now. It used to be at east 21st and Webb road I think? We went there and I had roasted lamb, with vegetables…and it was amazing. The lamb cut like butter, and the vegetables were still firm and tasty, not soggy. Also, important to me, the coffee there…WOW, it was great! Fabulous, strong, always brewed fresh!

My husband is insisting that I tell everyone that the best place to eat was Taco Grande, and that he’s heartbroken and full of misery now that they are gone for good. For all of us who’ve ever had to deal with him after he’s made himself sick eating too much Taco Grande, I bid them farewell, goodbye, and so long. I’ll miss you, but then again, not so much.

It may not be the best meal I have ever had, but this is certainly the best BREAKFAST I have ever had. I had the New Orleans Omelette, filled with bacon, Swiss cheese and topped with their amazing New Orleans Butter Cream Sauce. It came with Jalapeno Cheese Grits. Kyle had fried French Toast surrounding sausage links and a side of cottage fries. We shared a side of PRALINE BACON, which is so good that they warn you on the menu that they only make a limited amount each day. We got a small order of benignets to go. We were crazy full, and didn’t come close to finishing everything. The best part? Our tab was around $25.

I’m so hungry now! For me, the top ranking meal ever in Wichita was at Harvest Kitchen in the Hyatt. My family took a visiting friend there to prove that healthy, sustainable food could be awesome and home run! We proved it! Kansas cheeses with Peach chutney and fresh bread; Roasted squash with molasses and thyme butter; and the skillet cornbread with chive butter – OMG! My whole family was able to order amazing vegetarian dishes like Tumbleweed pasta with roasted veggies. My friend was impressed with the roasted half chicken in its own natural juices. Not only was the food so tasty that we were talking about it all night, the art of presentation was remarkable. I can’t afford to go there much, but if I have extra cash for dinner, this is where my heart wants to be!

I agree with Maria – my best meal also comes from Playa Azul. The shrimp quesadilla, along with lots of chips and salsa and a margarita, is a consistently wonderful meal. I’ve also never met a Yia Yia’s entree I didn’t love.
