Since the beginning of mankind, there have been hunters and gatherers. Changes in societal structures and technological advances have led us to a different type of living. The rudimentary definitions of “hunter” and “gatherer” don’t apply to most of us anymore. But it’s still there. It’s in our blood. It’s crying out within you, “Hunt!” and/or “Gather!”

Last week I took you to a few places to dine while I was on a weekend vacation in Kansas City. This week I’m rounding out my vacation mode (or “Kansas Staycations” as I like to call them) by taking you to Lawrence, Kan.
Lawrence is just a three hour drive from Wichita and also home of the University of Kansas. Several of my friends still attend school there and I always look forward to visiting them while enjoying some food along the way.
