[adopt] a New Friend from the Kansas Humane Society
Every week, we feature a few adorable, adoptable pets from the Kansas Humane Society and dare you to resist their cute lil’ faces. Want to bring one of these loveable cats or dogs home with you? Visit KHS from 11 am – 6:30 pm Monday through Saturday and 1 – 5 pm Sunday. Have a happy adoption story to tell? Email us at editors@verbict.com and we might feature you in an upcoming post.
Curco, an 8-month-old Labrador Retriever/Border Collie Mix, is a social butterfly so he is extremely friendly and playful. He was also raised around other pets, so he has experience getting along with others. He is a member of the Lonely Hearts Club, so his adoption fee is discounted to $75.
Boggie, a 4-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer, is a very sweet dog who has had a long stay at the shelter. She loves to play and loves her treats even more. She is part of the Lonely Hearts Club, so her adoption fee is discounted to $75.
Brownee, a 3-year-old Domestic Medium Hair, is front declawed so he needs a good indoor home only. Brownee was raised with kids and other animals, so he should adjust well into a new home. His brother Whitey is also here if you’re looking for a pair of cats, they would love to stay together. Cats 9-months-old-and-older have their adoption fee waived.
Alexis, a 3-year-old Miniature Schnauzer Mix, is a very loving girl who would do best in a home without small children. She is already housetrained, walks well on a leash and knows “stop” and “down.” She would ask that if you have other dogs in the home you bring them in for a visit before you decide to take her home with you. She is part of the Lonely Hearts Club, so her adoption fee is discounted to $75.
