Every Friday, we’ll show you a few adorable, adoptable pets from the Kansas Humane Society and dare you to resist their cute lil’ faces. Want to bring one of these loveable cats or dogs home with you? Visit KHS from 11 am – 6:30 pm Monday through Saturday and 1 – 5 pm Sunday. Have a happy adoption story to tell? Email us at editors@verbict.com and we might feature you in an upcoming post.

smokie

Smokie, a 4-year-old Domestic Medium Hair, is a beautiful girl who is a tad spooked by her current surroundings. She’s ready for a home to get comfortable in and nice warm spot on the couch to curl up on. Cats 9-months-old and older have their adoption fee waived.

keyush

Keyush, a 5-year-old Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd Mix, was raised around kids and other dogs. He is also housebroken so his transition into a new home should be smooth. He is also a Lonely Hearts Club Member, which means he has a reduced adoption fee.

penelope

Penelope, a 15-year-old Domestic Long Hair, is a little older but that just means she’s more experience in the ways of being a cat. Her previous owners had a new baby to care for, so Penelope is now on the search for a new family to call her own. She comes to you loveable, declawed and with a waived adoption fee.

dexter1

Dexter, a 4-year-old Shepherd/Alaskan Husky Mix, is going to make someone an excellent companion. This sweetheart loves plush squeaky toys and enjoys playing fetch. Take him home in time for the holidays and he is sure to brighten your holiday spirit. Lonely Hearts Club Member.
